NEVERMORE Guitarist To Guest On MARTY FRIEDMAN's New Solo Album

January 24, 2008

NEVERMORE guitarist Jeff Loomis will make a guest appearance on former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman's upcoming album, to be released in March. Jeff was very pleased and honored to be asked to appear on the CD by the Friedman himself, who happens to be one of Jeff's biggest influences.

Loomis took part in a clinic for Schecter Guitar Research on Friday, January 18 during this year's NAMM show (National Association of Music Merchants) at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Jeff played NEVERMORE solos and an instrumental from his upcoming solo album.

Watch footage of Loomis' performance below.

NEVERMORE is currently working on material for the follow-up to 2005's "This Godless Endeavor", tentatively due later in the year via Century Media Records.

NEVERMORE last year parted ways with guitarist Steve Smyth due to "personal and business differences."

During Smyth's time away from the touring circuit (Smyth was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure in 2006 and hadn't toured with the band in over a year),NEVERMORE had been utilizing the services of longtime session guitarist Chris Broderick (JAG PANZER, now in MEGADETH).
